Michael Andrew Newell is a composer, arranger, and audio engineer residing in Virginia. He primarily writes for original concert band and big band music, but has also composed several chamber pieces, solos, and commercial music. Currently he has a few jazz charts and a film project underway. 

Michael is a United States Marine, and has been since 2006. He is a sergeant and musician with the Quantico Marine Corps Band. 

In his free time, Michael enjoys reading, writing, drawing, rock climbing, traveling, and supporting local business. He also enjoys spending time with his family.
